Reviews for Fiddler's
Review highlights
Based on 223 reviewsFiddler's is widely recognized for its warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the local culture, notably enhanced by live bluegrass and banjo music. Guests consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to accommodate special dietary needs and offer thoughtful gestures, contributing to a genuine feeling of hospitality. The restaurant's home-style cooking, particularly its diverse buffet selection, is generally well-received for quality and variety, though occasional feedback points to inconsistency in specific dishes. The family-owned, mom-and-pop charm resonates well with both locals and travelers drawn by the roadside visibility. While parking options for RVs are somewhat limited, this does not detract from the overall positive experience. Overall, Fiddler's stands out as a dependable spot for flavorful, comforting meals paired with excellent service and a distinctive regional ambiance.
I had mixed reservations about this place based on comments from others. I figured we had to check it out for ourselves. We were greeted at the door by the beautiful smile from Teresa who quickly seated us. Then we were greeted by our waitress Betsy. Now mind you, I had gastric bypass 3 years ago , so there is not much I can eat so, I didnt want to order from the buffet. Betsy insured me that due to my gastric bypass, that I would not have to pay full price and I should never have to. She was completely understanding and even congratulated me on my accomplishment of losing 200lbs. Overall, my husband and I were pleasantly pleased with the service, food and atmosphere of Fiddlers. We will definitely be coming back!!!
As travelers, we stopped in because of the billboards we spotted on I-81. The home cooking and banjo music was a good reflection of this region of the country. In conversation, I had told the waitress we were just passing through, and to our surprise she brought us out to-go cups of our beverages!!! Unbelievably sweet and hospitable.
My wife and I were returning home to NC after an anniversary trip to Bristol. We saw the billboards on the interstate and decided to give it try. We love mom-n-pop restaurants, and we got sat immediately and decided on the buffet bar. We mentioned to our waitress that we were celebrating our anniversary, the gentleman eating alone next to us, kindly paid for our meal as he left. The food buffet was just what we needed, that fried chicken was crunchy and delicious, the sides were abundant and cooked with love. Salad was crisp, fruit was fresh, and the banana pudding and apple cobbler were amazing!! One of the best meals we had, we'll be back for sure. Since we had been blessed with a free meal, we decided to bless our server "A" with a 100 tip. She was very appreciative and said we helped her reach her savings goal for her car she was saving for! All the way around, we had an incredible dinner and created memories for a lifetime. Stop in at Fiddlers when you can
It's gotta good atmosphere.. A lot of good music.. There is limited RV parking BEHIND THE BUILDING.. the food is good and a lot to choose from
Friendly staff, good food, and great atmosphere. Bluegrass music was playing. Ordered the buffet. From salad bar, entree, and desert bar. Everything was good except the chicken liver. It was kinda dry. Will eat there again.
I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a higher review. We were greeted by a cheerful friendly greeter who immediately seated us at the table. The waiter was prompt to serve us and was very pleasant. The food was very reasonably priced. The fries were the best fries I’ve had to date! We were passing through south West Virginia, and it was extremely easy to access and had a gas station to fuel up, so very convenient location. The atmosphere was wonderful! It played banjo music that created a very homey atmosphere. They sell little trinkets such as earrings, cups, and hats. I loved the features with the fiddles as door handles, the wooden doors, etc. Overall it was an incredible experience! This will be our go to any time we are passing through and will be recommending this place to others who pass through as well. I wish we had one of these in our home town!
My Sister's, Niece & I Love this Restaurant! We come for each of our Birthdays. We drive from Winston Salem because there's nothing in Winston that has Food or Service as good! Can't say enough good things about this place! You should go & find out for Yourself!! We all give 5 Stars each, so that's 25 Stars & they deserve More! Thanks for letting us have to-cups for our Cobbler! You're Da Best!!
Good food and good prices. Fed our family of 6 for 70. We enjoyed dinner which included grilled chicken sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches. Portion sizes were good and everything was delicious. Server was sweet.
